The crowd rose to their feet as Hübbersfield SV's Douglas Bäckström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 반 조. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. After 12 played minutes Ulsan HD FC got a freekick which was hit by 이 남. Ulsan HD FC's 반 조 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ulsan HD FC from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the game, 이 남 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ulsan HD FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hübbersfield SV the free kick. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Douglas Bäckström took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for 반 조 to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Ulsan HD FC's 이 강전 got a free kick in the 27th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Douglas Bäckström made a kick off. The supporters of Hübbersfield SV booed when Ulsan HD FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. 이 남 didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 최 부 during the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Bäckström in the 77th minute of play forced Ulsan HD FC's goalkeeper 반 조 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 반 조 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Billy Sundberg's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Billy Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hübbersfield SV's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Sundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 반 조 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ulsan HD FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hübbersfield SV.
