Douglas Bäckström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rollo Trieb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Billy Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rollo Trieb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Douglas Bäckström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rollo Trieb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 15 minutes into the match, Hübbersfield SV's goal looked a bit too open when Arnim Blank came free, but Rasmus Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bentgerhof FSV's Klemens Reckle got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bentgerhof FSV's Rollo Trieb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sverker Åkerman in the 21st minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Hübbersfield SV's Billy Sundberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rollo Trieb narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rollo Trieb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Martinsson in the 29th minute of play. Rasmus Lund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Georg Gadd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Görlitz made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 50 minutes, Georg Gadd put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rollo Trieb. The audience was convinced that Peter Törnblom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rollo Trieb was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Sven-Oskar Martinsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rollo Trieb having to interfere. Klemens Reckle kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Alfonso Görlitz kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Hübbersfield SV's Douglas Bäckström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rollo Trieb. That made the score 0-4 after 62 minutes of play. Bentgerhof FSV's Rollo Trieb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Bäckström in the 67th minute of play. Hübbersfield SV's Billy Sundberg was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 71 minutes in the game, Douglas Bäckström fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rollo Trieb having to interfere. Hübbersfield SV's Rasmus Lund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Görlitz in the 76th minute of play. Billy Sundberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Rollo Trieb 77 minutes into the match. Peter Törnblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bentgerhof FSV getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Alfons Behnert hit a great ball. Billy Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The free kick made by Hübbersfield SV's Billy Sundberg led to a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bentgerhof FSV's zone, Douglas Bäckström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rollo Trieb came out of the goal and Douglas Bäckström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bentgerhof FSV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hübbersfield SV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
