A wasted opportunity for Izhevsk FC. Timofey Golant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erol Can in the 10th minute. Baturay Özluer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuil Fomichev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 played minutes Karpuzlu got a freekick which was hit by Bahtiyar Yalaz. 22 minutes into the match, Izhevsk FC's Ruslan Skryabin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baturay Özluer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Samuil Fomichev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute, Ruslan Skryabin made a precise shot to the right of Baturay Özluer. Karpuzlu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 34 played minutes Karpuzlu got a freekick which was hit by Zaid Ünsever. Timofey Golant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erol Can in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erol Can got free with Timofey Golant in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 42 played minutes Izhevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Volosov. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuil Fomichev to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erbatur Kutan in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timofey Golant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 minutes of play, Karpuzlu's Erol Can made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timofey Golant was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 played minutes Izhevsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Dmitriy Ganenfeldt. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Samuil Fomichev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izhevsk FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuil Fomichev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baturay Özluer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Karpuzlu's Erbatur Kutan in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Izhevsk FC's Timofey Golant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erol Can in the 69th minute of play. Karpuzlu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erol Can was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Ruslan Skryabin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Karpuzlu booed when Izhevsk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dmitriy Ganenfeldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes, Karpuzlu's Abbas Sanat shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Timofey Golant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Karpuzlu reached it. Abbas Sanat was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Karpuzlu fans cheered their team off the field, for while Izhevsk FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
