Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Gomolka in the 6th minute of play. Kim Hänninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 12th minute of the match. Olaf Wojtowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Fragleses's goalkeeper Kim Hänninen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Caniglia. In the 19th minute Grzegorz Rasiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniglia got free with Kim Hänninen in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Çağdaş Quaresma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Claudio Caniglia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kim Hänninen to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Caniglia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Kim Hänninen made a huge save. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fragleses's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Danny Carey was slow to take the kick. During this time Janusze Futbolu's players had a chance to rest. Kim Hänninen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Caniglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Halim Tetiker in the 65th minute of play forced Janusze Futbolu's goalkeeper Peter-Michael Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Claudio Caniglia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fragleses's Kim Hänninen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anier Sandaili kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Fragleses made a substitution. Conrado Cardozo replaced Roch Dejo. After 85 played minutes Fragleses got a freekick which was hit by Anier Sandaili. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Danny Carey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claudio Caniglia ran back to his position shaking his head. The Janusze Futbolu players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
