The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Damazy Joks quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gigel Botescu made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Jan-Åke Fransson sent off a good shot on target. Gwidon Arnista came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gigel Botescu could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Damazy Joks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marian Gniech was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. With a little luck, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Gigel Botescu got control of the ball when Jan-Åke Fransson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Zagórna's goal looked a bit too open when Damazy Joks came free, but Marian Gniech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Leon Mleczewski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damazy Joks to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Zagórna's zone, Damazy Joks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marian Gniech came out of the goal and Damazy Joks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gwidon Arnista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Botescu having to interfere. Marian Gniech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damazy Joks's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The audience was convinced that Damazy Joks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marian Gniech was relentless in the 61st minute of the game.
