Zagórna's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lech Marek in the 23rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Åke Fransson in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kim Hänninen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Grzegorz Rasiak got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 30 minutes into the game, Olaf Wojtowicz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Zagórna's Uluç Tekinalp quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 39 minutes into the match, Zagórna's goalkeeper Marian Gniech had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roch Dejo. Marian Gniech made an important save on a dangerous shot by Grzegorz Rasiak in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grzegorz Rasiak to make the kick off. A collision led to Fragleses getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Olaf Wojtowicz hit a great ball. If Gwidon Arnista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The corner led Fragleses's Conrado Cardozo to fire away a dangerous shot which Marian Gniech despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zagórna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Olaf Wojtowicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Fragleses's players had a chance to rest. Fragleses's Olaf Wojtowicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marian Gniech in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Zagórna had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
