Facundo Bot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute Mikael Liberatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Lojewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The nice shot from Erling Lewandowski in the 26thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Sören Tunberg had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. With his leg Sören Tunberg managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Go Ahead Eagles's Erling Lewandowski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Roger Stephansson kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Go Ahead Eagles defense, Mikael Liberatore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafa Lojewski. The Go Ahead Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafa Lojewski should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Wargön's goal looked a bit too open when Facundo Bot came free, but Sören Tunberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sören Tunberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Bot, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Mikael Liberatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Lojewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The Go Ahead Eagles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Wargön's Mikael Liberatore in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 72 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Mălaimare. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivar Siöberg got free with Rafa Lojewski in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Wargön's Zdzislaw Liermann got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iustin Bâru in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sören Tunberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute Fernando Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sören Tunberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Go Ahead Eagles's Rafa Lojewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Arne Nilsson in the 79th minute of play. Go Ahead Eagles's Cássio Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Bot in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute Go Ahead Eagles were awarded a corner. Cássio Gonçalves went to the cornerflag to take it. Sören Tunberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Bâru in the 84th minute of the match. Wargön's Sören Tunberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Bâru in the 86th minute of play. The Go Ahead Eagles fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 93rd minute, Fernando Amorebieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Go Ahead Eagles had won after a very even match.
