Thomas Vollmar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Marcus Ekrot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mutumba came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot got control of the ball when Thomas Vollmar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonardo Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Vollmar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Mutumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Vykans Vikingar got a freekick which was hit by Henric Holm. Mats Hermansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mikolaj Jerzyk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Hermansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Mikolaj Jerzyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Hermansson in the 32nd minute of the match. Thomas Vollmar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Ekrot came out and tried to block the shot, but Thomas Vollmar slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Hermansson in the 36th minute of play forced Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute Vykans Vikingar were awarded a corner. Mats Hermansson went to the cornerflag to take it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Martin Mutumba made the kick off in the second half. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar. But to his dismay, Thomas Vollmar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marian Erland in the 54th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Mutumba's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Mikolaj Jerzyk skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Pacholewski in the 59th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led to Newcastle United's Adam Pacholewski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Leonardo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Malicki in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Adam Pacholewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newcastle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vykans Vikingar the free kick. 69 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mutumba came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomas Vollmar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikolaj Jerzyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vykans Vikingar's goalie prevented a goal. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pacholewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Mikolaj Jerzyk managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Marian Erland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vykans Vikingar's Bengt-Arne Haglund was substituted for Martin Mutumba. 89 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Haglund came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Arne Haglunds short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Mikolaj Jerzyk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Hílton Souza hit a great ball. Vykans Vikingar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
