Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal and Roland Banaszak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute of the match Vykans Vikingar got a corner. Merengue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernan Berart ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mateo Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 19th minute of the match. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darwin Núñez, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Domingo Jago hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Leonardo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Llorienzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Llorienzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Merengue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Jago to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Merengue FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Trancoso came free, but Mateo Llorienzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leonardo Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Llorienzo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 62 played minutes Merengue FC got a freekick which was hit by Maxi Nuñez. Merengue FC's Mateo Llorienzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Trancoso in the 63rd minute of play. Vykans Vikingar's attentive Fernan Berart managed to snatch the ball when Edelmiro Quintyn made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Haglund in the 81st minute of play forced Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Merengue FC's goalkeeper Mateo Llorienzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Bengt-Arne Haglund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Llorienzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Arne Haglund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Llorienzo was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vykans Vikingar fans cheered their team off the field, for while Merengue FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
