An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdi Revis in the 46th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Vykans Vikingar were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anaia Barba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 minutes of play, Vykans Vikingar's Martin Mutumba made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hílton Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Martin Mutumba hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Bengt-Arne Haglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Intxixu Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Mutumba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Intxixu Porregimon made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Fernan Berart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Intxixu Porregimon, 1-4. Leonardo Trancoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Intxixu Porregimon made a huge save. 86 minutes into the game, one of Vykans Vikingar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Mexilhão F. C. a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ronaldinho Romero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot. 2-4. 90 minutes into the game, Abdi Revis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Intxixu Porregimon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Intxixu Porregimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonardo Trancoso in the 92nd minute of the match. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Abdi Revis hit a great ball.
