Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Serafim Simão made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafim Simão came free, but Amancio Paez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Wilfredo Gil got a free kick in the 6th minute. Amancio Paez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafim Simão's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Amancio Paez came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Jhon Barcellos. But to his dismay, Jhon Barcellos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Amancio Paez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Almeida in the 25th minute of the match. Falckner FC's Edgardo Lleir was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 27th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Falckner FC's Amancio Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhon Barcellos in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Jhon Barcellos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amancio Paez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 45th minute Edgardo Lleir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cavalcante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Lleir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Lleir in the 53rd minute of play. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Lleir in the 55th minute of play. Wilfredo Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Amancio Paez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 57th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ivo Fantini. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra do Interior's zone, Dionisio Emesto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante came out of the goal and Dionisio Emesto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Gil in the 60th minute of play. After 71 minutes, Dorival Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palestra do Interior and the Falckner FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dorival Almeida hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gil, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 77th minute of the match, Jhon Barcellos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Amancio Paez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Amancio Paez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jhon Barcellos, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 89 minutes into the match, Jhon Barcellos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amancio Paez, 1-3. Danilo Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Palestra do Interior supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Palestra do Interior would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
