Dedé Mazer came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stellan Clementsson could save by the left post. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Lundqvist in the 8th minute of play. Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Rune Friberger in the 9th minute of play. Full Fart Framåt's Stellan Clementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Simão in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Bengt-Rune Friberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torsten Ferm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Stellan Clementsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Simão in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute Serafim Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stellan Clementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Full Fart Framåt got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Friberger. Stellan Clementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Full Fart Framåt getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ingvar Lindholm hit a great ball. Stellan Clementsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafim Simão in the 38th minute. After 38 minutes, Viktor Näver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Full Fart Framåt and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Full Fart Framåt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Näver to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Full Fart Framåt's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Almeida came free, but Stellan Clementsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Full Fart Framåt got a freekick which was hit by Tord Juhlin. After having played for 46 minutes, Jhon Barcellos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palestra do Interior's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jhon Barcellos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dorival Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Stellan Clementsson made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Rune Friberger to make the kick off. Full Fart Framåt's Stellan Clementsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Simão in the 56th minute of play. Stellan Clementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the game, Ivo Fantini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra do Interior's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Full Fart Framåt the free kick. Ivo Fantini hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Stellan Clementsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Simão in the 63rd minute of play. Stellan Clementsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafim Simão went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Full Fart Framåt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Vibjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stellan Clementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jhon Barcellos, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Full Fart Framåt defense, Jhon Barcellos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stellan Clementsson. The Full Fart Framåt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stellan Clementsson should have stopped the shot. After 85 minutes, Dorival Almeida made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Full Fart Framåt's Stellan Clementsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Stellan Clementsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jhon Barcellos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. William Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute Serafim Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stellan Clementsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palestra do Interior were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Full Fart Framåt for a fine match.
