The referee ignored PLUMIN's protests and gave Carlos Bartolome a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Bartolome got his second yellow card in the match during the 6th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to PLUMIN getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Carlos Bartolome hit a great ball. Leonides Matteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien Decottignies, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. If Lucien Decottignies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonides Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Charles Gauche in the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mathieu Bouziane hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Froilan Urtungo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 26 played minutes Herblay got a freekick which was hit by Mustapha Guilbert. Jorge Cristofol succeeded in the game's 26th minute to get real power on a long shot . Herblay's Norbert Domenech hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 0-1! Dove Roig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Leonides Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match, Dove Roig got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonides Matteo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 39 minutes into the match, PLUMIN's goal looked a bit too open when Jean-Charles Gauche came free, but Leonides Matteo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 40 in the game by Dove Roig from a close distance when the talented Leonides Matteo managed to make a qualified save. PLUMIN's players were relieved. Leonides Matteo came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Herblay's Gildas Montaut. But to his dismay, Gildas Montaut quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Froilan Urtungo made a kick off. Mustapha Guilbert kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Leonides Matteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dove Roig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thierry Cottard kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Charles Gauche in the 67th minute of play. Herblay's Norbert Domenech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Herblay from getting a goal against them. After 78 minutes, Gildas Montaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herblay and the PLUMIN players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gildas Montaut kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Leonides Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Jorge Cristofol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PLUMIN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Herblay the free kick. The supporters of Herblay booed when PLUMIN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Cristofol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute of the match Lucien Decottignies shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Matteo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Froilan Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
