After 7 minutes, Jorge Cristofol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PLUMIN and the Palestra do Interior players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jorge Cristofol kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Simão to maneuver through the defense. Jhon Barcellos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Dedé Mazer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Leonides Matteo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, PLUMIN's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Almeida came free, but Leonides Matteo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Jorge Cristofol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match Jhon Barcellos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Matteo skillfully saved the ball. Dorival Almeida scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leonides Matteo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafim Simão made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PLUMIN! When the match had been going on for 57 minutes, Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonides Matteo. 61 minutes into the game, Palestra do Interior's Serafim Simão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonides Matteo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Serafim Simão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Leonides Matteo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 65th match minute, PLUMIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Uriel Pitin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Jhon Barcellos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Jhon Barcellos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Matteo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Almeida in the 71st minute of play forced PLUMIN's goalkeeper Leonides Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Jhon Barcellos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match Jhon Barcellos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonides Matteo skillfully saved the ball. When the match clock showed 96 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Serafim Simão sped through PLUMIN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonides Matteo. In the 99th minute, Serafim Simão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
