After 12 played minutes, Consejo del Mate's Horacio Peruxu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rogério Ceni came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Consejo del Mate reached it. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Arnaldo Librado got a free kick in the 17th minute. Dorian Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Inautzi having to interfere. After 30 played minutes Consejo del Mate got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Betadur. Hugo Ceandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Dorian Valladares came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Divina Comédia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorian Valladares couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Dorian Valladares made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo Inautzi. Consejo del Mate's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arnaldo Librado made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Simão kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Divina Comédia FC's zone, Emiliano Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal and Emiliano Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Consejo del Mate's Bernardo Inautzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Valladares in the 56th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Dorian Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Divina Comédia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Consejo del Mate the free kick. Dorian Valladares hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play Divina Comédia FC's Dorian Valladares was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Viana in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Inautzi saved Consejo del Mate from getting behind. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Divina Comédia FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Consejo del Mate for much of the match.
