Fulgencio Tiadoro was slow to take the kick. During this time Las Palmas's players had a chance to rest. The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Cosme Inko put in a rough tackle. 24 minutes into the match, Wellington Moura notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Las Palmas's Nicolas Urko. Nicolas Urko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Délio Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Sein in the 27th minute of play. If Rony Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicolas Urko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wellington Moura went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Aaran Goiano took a quick shot and it went in 5-0 without a chance for Nicolas Urko to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Las Palmas's Clodoveo Arixo got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wellington Moura was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Las Palmas got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Tiadoro. Nicolas Urko came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Jataiense Futebol Clube's Wellington Moura. But to his dismay, Wellington Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. A collision led to Las Palmas getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Florencio Dimas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Edmundo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Urko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Glauco Correia was substituted for José Paulo Romero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaran Goiano in the 72nd minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper Nicolas Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rony Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicolas Urko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Clodoveo Arixo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Délio Azevedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Clodoveo Arixo slotted it home off the left post making it 7-1 in the 76th minute. Las Palmas's Nicolas Urko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Moura in the 81st minute of play. Nicolas Urko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Alvarenga in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaran Goiano in the 85th minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper Nicolas Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Las Palmas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Clodoveo Arixo hit a great ball. Edmundo Castro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nicolas Urko. Las Palmas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Edmundo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Las Palmas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
