Caetano Bueno started the match with the kick off. Osmar Freitas hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 10thth minute of the game Caetano Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hortêncio Viana hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Isaltino Dionísio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Ceni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 12 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Paulista. Rogério Ceni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo da Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Bueno in the 20th minute of play. Dagoberto de Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Viana in the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Dionísio came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Telmo da Fonseca. But to his dismay, Telmo da Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jaime Simão hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sebastião Paulista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute Caetano Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Divina Comédia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valério Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Zé Pedro Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Ceni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Bueno in the 43rd minute of the match. Telmo da Fonseca scored 0-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogério Ceni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Divina Comédia FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Castanheiro SC were winning 0-3.

An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Caetano Bueno got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Pedro Dionísio in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 59 minutes, Hortêncio Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Divina Comédia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Viana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagoberto de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo da Fonseca in the 65th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Dorian Valladares hit a great ball. Rogério Ceni acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 69th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sebastião Paulista. In the 70th minute, Caetano Bueno made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Ceni. Divina Comédia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Esteves in the 73rd minute of play. If Zé Pedro Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Divina Comédia FC from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes, Jaime Simão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Divina Comédia FC and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Castanheiro SC made a substitution. Valério Maia replaced Telmo da Fonseca. In the 93rd minute, Jaime Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
