Falckner FC's Amancio Paez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Viana in the 45th minute of play. Jimeno Celio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Cristiano Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Amancio Paez made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Hortêncio Viana made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jimeno Celio lost his temper 64 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 64th minute, one of Falckner FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Falckner FC. Amancio Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Falckner FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Wilfredo Gil hit a great ball. Falckner FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
