In the 9th minute, Tommy Dahlkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the game, Castanheiro SC's Zé Pedro Dionísio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niclas Svanberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Niclas Svanberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Pinho. Dagoberto de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Dahlkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Dionísio came free, but Niclas Svanberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Sebastião Paulista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute Telmo da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niclas Svanberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pinho in the 68th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Niclas Svanberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Sebastião Paulista got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Niclas Svanberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Pinho in the 78th minute of play forced LA VIOLA's goalkeeper Niclas Svanberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niclas Svanberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Pinho's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Pinho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of LA VIOLA's Niclas Svanberg. Niclas Svanberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
