Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ronaldo Pinho started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Dagoberto de Queirós had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Arantes. Ronaldo Pinho's late challenge caught a Ekzema F.V.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldo Pinho helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Pinho. Dagoberto de Queirós came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia. But to his dismay, Samuca Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Afonsinho Valladares hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pinho came free, but Sílvio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fabiano Toledo in the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Márcio de Mendonça hit a great ball. Sílvio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Dionísio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute of the match Castanheiro SC got a corner. Ekzema F.V.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sebastião Paulista ran over to the corner to take the kick. Castanheiro SC's Sebastião Paulista was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Samuca Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Sílvio Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ronaldo Pinho went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Castanheiro SC's Dagoberto de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Castanheiro SC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Ekzema F.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Ronaldo Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuca Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio de Mendonça in the 35th minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Dagoberto de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ekzema F.V.'s Márcio de Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dagoberto de Queirós. That made the score 2-2 after 42 minutes of play. Samuca Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Dagoberto de Queirós made a huge save. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the game, Afonsinho Valladares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanheiro SC the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronaldo Pinho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sílvio Cordeiro. That made the score 2-3 in the 54 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Pedro Dionísio got free with Sílvio Cordeiro in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Cordeiro. Ekzema F.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After 63 played minutes Castanheiro SC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Bezerra. Sílvio Cordeiro came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. A collision led to Castanheiro SC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Carlos Gaspar hit a great ball. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Castanheiro SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fabinho Sarmento was slow to take the kick. During this time Ekzema F.V.'s players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Samuca Tróia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, Ekzema F.V.'s Claudinei Arantes got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of Ekzema F.V. booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute of the match, Telmo da Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sílvio Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Márcio de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A hard shot by Sebastião Paulista from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Sílvio Cordeiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match was over Castanheiro SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ekzema F.V. throughout the match.
