An unexpectedly hard shot by Rony Alvarenga in the 16th minute of play forced Falckner FC's goalkeeper Amancio Paez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wilfredo Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Bernard to maneuver through the defense. If Edmundo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Falckner FC defense, Luiz Fernando Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amancio Paez. The Falckner FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amancio Paez should have stopped the shot. Desiderio Corderun came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Délio Azevedo could save by the left post. Desiderio Corderun hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, Falckner FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. Délio Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgardo Lleir showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 44 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Genaro Frechoso got a free kick in the 48th minute. Edmundo Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amancio Paez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmundo Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Lleir was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ricardo Quirino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Lleir in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Délio Azevedo saved Jataiense Futebol Clube from getting behind. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Jataiense Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Paez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Lleir charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgardo Lleir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Edgardo Lleir got a free kick in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Edgardo Lleir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Délio Azevedo. Jataiense Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Lleir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Dráuzio Freire fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jataiense Futebol Clube's protests and gave Dráuzio Freire a yellow card for diving instead. The Jataiense Futebol Clube players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Falckner FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
