An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio de Mendonça in the 7th minute of play forced Las Palmas's goalkeeper Nicolas Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes of play, Las Palmas's Nicanor Fanuco made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Cordeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximiliano Bazil received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sílvio Cordeiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Maximiliano Bazil slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Cordeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Sein. Nicolas Urko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuca Tróia went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Horacio Sein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Cordeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Bazil, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The Ekzema F.V. fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Ekzema F.V.'s Samuca Tróia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fabinho Sarmento hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Las Palmas's Eduardo Ihintza shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sílvio Cordeiro but with some difficulty. 40 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper Sílvio Cordeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Sein. 44 minutes into the match, Nicanor Fanuco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Cordeiro. Ekzema F.V.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicanor Fanuco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicanor Fanuco was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ekzema F.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Bazil came free, but Sílvio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Fabinho Sarmento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Las Palmas's Fulgencio Tiadoro took a good shot, in the 55th minute, which hit the crossbar above Sílvio Cordeiro's head, and flew over the goal. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Las Palmas. After 57 minutes of play, Las Palmas's Maximiliano Bazil made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sílvio Cordeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61st minute Horacio Sein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Márcio de Mendonça's late challenge caught a Las Palmas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Márcio de Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Márcio de Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Urko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Bueno in the 67th minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Maicon Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ekzema F.V.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Las Palmas the free kick. A collision led to Ekzema F.V. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Maicon Linhares hit a great ball. Fulgencio Tiadoro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sílvio Cordeiro. Ekzema F.V.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sílvio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Sein in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Nicanor Fanuco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Palmas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Fanuco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Eduardo Ihintza put in a rough tackle. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Las Palmas! In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Ekzema F.V.. Daniel Bueno stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicolas Urko. 4-4. In the 96th minute, Claudinei Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ekzema F.V. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Las Palmas had controlled the match.
