Marco Bezerra's late challenge caught a LA VIOLA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Galle took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dagoberto de Queirós. Dagoberto de Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ronaldo Pinho scored 1-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niclas Svanberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 32nd play minutes Ronaldo Pinho shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Niclas Svanberg and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Ronaldo Pinho sped through LA VIOLA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niclas Svanberg. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano Toledo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldo Pinho was the one to do the kick off. After 62 played minutes, Castanheiro SC's Isaltino Dionísio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Niclas Svanberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. Niclas Svanberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo da Fonseca in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute of the match, Telmo da Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Niclas Svanberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-9 when Ronaldo Pinho sped through LA VIOLA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Niclas Svanberg. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Pinho in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niclas Svanberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to LA VIOLA getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. With a little luck, LA VIOLA's Niclas Svanberg got control of the ball when Isaltino Dionísio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, LA VIOLA's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Moura came free, but Niclas Svanberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Telmo da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niclas Svanberg having to interfere. Niclas Svanberg came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Ronaldo Pinho. But to his dismay, Ronaldo Pinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-12.
