The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Juan Lebron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Chao came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg. But to his dismay, Måns Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Safet Hands made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Adriano Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 13th minute, Stig-Arne Deckberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zheng Chao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the game Stig-Arne Deckberg made a throw-in which Filcho Slivkov played forward. Zheng Chao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Lebron, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Adriano Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Safet Hands made a huge save. In the 30th minute of the match The Obscurials got a corner. Norrlands Athen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Spânu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jacinto da Silveira made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Måns Sandberg however managed to control. Safet Hands made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Adriano Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Norrlands Athen from getting a goal against them. When Filcho Slivkov fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrlands Athen's protests and gave Filcho Slivkov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filcho Slivkov to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Juan Lebron made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Edelmiro Mateo hit a great ball. Edelmiro Mateo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Filcho Slivkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zheng Chao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Zheng Chao made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Måns Sandberg sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Ribeiro in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Safet Hands saved Norrlands Athen from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Safet Hands narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Obscurials's Angelo Eiró was substituted for Cliff Rowden. The Obscurials's Lawrance Grandison was substituted for Adriano Ribeiro. The Obscurials's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabian Spânu in the 73rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Fabian Spânu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Safet Hands quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Safet Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anders Westerstrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Anders Westerstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Safet Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lawrance Grandison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute The Obscurials were awarded a corner. Fabian Spânu went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to The Obscurials's Anders Westerstrand getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Westerstrand in the 92nd minute of the match.
