The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Norrlands Athen's Safet Hands played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianluca Vialli in the 3rd minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Huang Fei Ting had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureliano Herena. Falckner FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huang Fei Ting was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 16th minute Juan Lebron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 18th minute of the match. Safet Hands made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Vialli in the 21st minute of play. Aureliano Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Gianluca Vialli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 37thth minute of the game Måns Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Falckner FC's Aureliano Herena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norrlands Athen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filcho Slivkov in the 38th minute. The corner led Norrlands Athen's Filcho Slivkov to fire away a dangerous shot which Aureliano Herena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute, Arnulfo Evis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Filcho Slivkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrlands Athen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filcho Slivkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gianluca Vialli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Falckner FC got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Bermudo. Måns Sandberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aureliano Herena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Norrlands Athen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filcho Slivkov in the 61st minute. A nice corner shot did that Filcho Slivkov got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aureliano Herena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 63rd minute Huang Fei Ting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aureliano Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliano Herena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huang Fei Ting's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Falckner FC booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huang Fei Ting didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt was substituted for Wieslaw Wos. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Gilbert Hermansson replaced Måns Sandberg. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Huang Fei Ting got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 74th minute, Stig-Arne Deckberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the game, Gilbert Hermansson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aureliano Herena. Gilbert Hermansson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Stig-Arne Deckberg made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Qian Jian Wei however managed to control. Aureliano Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calle Bergfelt, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Falckner FC's Aureliano Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lebron in the 86th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Calle Bergfelt rounded Falckner FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Stig-Arne Deckberg kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Gilbert Hermansson hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes, Falckner FC's Osvaldo Bermudo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Safet Hands came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Falckner FC reached it. Falckner FC's Aureliano Herena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Falckner FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Falckner FC's Gianluca Vialli got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Falckner FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Norrlands Athen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
