Aurelian Coporan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Lebron, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Aurelian Coporan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Lebron went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Måns Sandberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelian Coporan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Academia Rio's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filcho Slivkov was slow to take the kick. During this time Norrlands Athen's players had a chance to rest. 12 minutes into the game, Måns Sandberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aurelian Coporan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aurelian Coporan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Lebron went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the game, Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aurelian Coporan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 23 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Păvăloae came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelian Coporan was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, Måns Sandberg notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan. Aurelian Coporan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aurelian Coporan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Måns Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aurelian Coporan having to make a save. Aurelian Coporan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 32nd minute of the match. Aurelian Coporan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelian Coporan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 38 minutes Academia Rio's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filcho Slivkov who took care of the corner kick. The throw-in from Dumitru Pantelimon in the 43rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Norrlands Athen's Giorgian De Arrascaeta. After the first half Norrlands Athen were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Lebron made a kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Rio's goalkeeper Aurelian Coporan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Academia Rio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihai Oniga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt was substituted for Wieslaw Wos. After a rather tough play, Academia Rio's Mihai Oniga got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aurelian Coporan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 62nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Filcho Slivkov. 66 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Păvăloae came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Şimonca in the 74th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Safet Hands stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgil Şimonca's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. The audience was convinced that Virgil Şimonca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Safet Hands was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Aron Suşu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Safet Hands was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-7. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilbert Hermansson in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelian Coporan saved Academia Rio from getting behind. Filcho Slivkov made a great header on Norrlands Athen's corner, it was just that Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan managed to reach the ball for a save. 92 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Bergfelt came free, but Aurelian Coporan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Academia Rio's Aurelian Coporan got control of the ball when Calle Bergfelt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Norrlands Athen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Norrlands Athen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
