The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in El Pinar's zone, Marcelo Gallardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Milio Carcamo hit a great ball. Ni Tian Peng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Gallardo's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute, Marcelo Gallardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ni Tian Peng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Marcelo Gallardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ni Tian Peng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Adrogue FC were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after El Pinar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ismael Abalos took the corner. In the 20th minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Tian Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ni Tian Peng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Gallardo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save El Pinar from getting a goal against them. In the 38th minute Thanos Kalikis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Adrogue FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thanos Kalikis was slow to take the kick. During this time El Pinar's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Thanos Kalikis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Adrogue FC's Franco Armani did a great save. Adrogue FC's 高文乐 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Milio Carcamo in the 42 minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Toma Merlushkin made the kick off in the second half. Juan Pablo Angel struck a weak shot in the 50th minute. Ni Tian Peng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adrogue FC. In the 57th minute, 高文乐 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toma Merlushkin in the 59th minute of the match. Franco Armani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laureano Vergaray in the 84th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Ni Tian Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
