The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lars Bruckmann to strike the kick off in the second half. Alpu's Mustafa Anıl Tamer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Axmann in the 53rd minute of play. Newcastle United's Lars Bruckmann was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 54th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Newcastle United's Félix Göbl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erdi Haseki in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of Alpu booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Werner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hüseyin Cahit Acar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Félix Göbl having to interfere. Newcastle United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
