Manole Mocanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Eduino, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. barcelono's Jonas Milio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save barcelono from getting a goal against them. A collision led to barcelono getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Santiago Orlanda hit a great ball. The Steaua București fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Steaua București's Horia Ionaș looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 33 minutes into the game, Horia Ionaș recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonas Milio. Horia Ionaș showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 39th minute Horia Ionaș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toader Ipătescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jonas Milio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Toader Ipătescu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Horia Ionaș made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Iordache Arnăutu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Milio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute of the match Steaua București got a corner. barcelono's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Toader Ipătescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 55 played minutes Steaua București got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Mitu. Jonas Milio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Ionaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Saturnino Bieito sped through Steaua București's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manole Mocanu. Manole Mocanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urbano Beila went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Ionaș in the 84th minute of play forced barcelono's goalkeeper Jonas Milio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Milio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Mitu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Steaua București fans cheered their team off the field, for while barcelono had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
