Niklas Isaksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes in the game, Niklas Isaksson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Erling Bergendahl having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Niklas Isaksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportklubben's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklas Isaksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erling Bergendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Niklas Isaksson came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sportklubben fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niklas Isaksson couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Bruhn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sven-Erik Aronsson sped through Sportklubben's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson. 42 minutes into the match, Sportklubben's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Aronsson came free, but Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Sportklubben's Niklas Isaksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niklas Isaksson was the one to do the kick off. Lars Bruhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Bruhn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson made a huge save. Sportklubben's Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sportklubben from getting a goal against them. If Niklas Isaksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 played minutes Sportklubben got a freekick which was hit by Eric Vennerkvist. In the 74th play minute Lars Bruhn came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson. 1-3. A collision led to Åryd RK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Sven-Erik Aronsson hit a great ball. Sportklubben's Bengt-Rune Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Aronsson in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niklas Isaksson in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Bergendahl saved Åryd RK from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörgen Söderström during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sportklubben's Niklas Isaksson got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94thth minute of the game Niklas Isaksson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åryd RK's Erling Bergendahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Åryd RK fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Åryd RK's Sven-Erik Aronsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Åryd RK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
