In the 4th match minute, NewSkill FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Crespo to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Þorgarður Arnljótsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Cao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, NewSkill FC's Milio Ponte ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daríus Sigmundarson. Daríus Sigmundarson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Everardo Cao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Þorgarður Arnljótsson in the 12th minute of play. Everardo Cao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Þorgarður Arnljótsson in the 16th minute of the match. Ponciano Villar hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. NewSkill FC's Everardo Cao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir Mánason in the 23rd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Þorgarður Arnljótsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, NewSkill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Þorgarður Arnljótsson came free, but Everardo Cao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Elverk Vogum's zone, Milio Ponte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daríus Sigmundarson came out of the goal and Milio Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everardo Cao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geir Mánason, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Þorgarður Arnljótsson to make the kick off. Daríus Sigmundarson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milio Ponte in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Gottskálk Þengilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daríus Sigmundarson came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by NewSkill FC's Milio Ponte. But to his dismay, Milio Ponte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Elverk Vogum's Daríus Sigmundarson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milio Ponte in the 57th minute of play. When NewSkill FC's Milio Ponte in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elverk Vogum's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of NewSkill FC booed when Elverk Vogum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davíð Sölvason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elverk Vogum's Jörvi Daðason got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Arcadio Mas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NewSkill FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. NewSkill FC's Isaio Mudarra was substituted for Saturnino Fonticoba. After 69 played minutes Elverk Vogum got a freekick which was hit by Gottskálk Þengilsson. Everardo Cao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörvi Daðason in the 72nd minute of play. Þorlákur Marvinsson's late challenge caught a NewSkill FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Þorlákur Marvinsson helped the player get up and apologised. Þorlákur Marvinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Elverk Vogum's Jörvi Daðason got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 87 minutes into the match, NewSkill FC's goalkeeper Everardo Cao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geir Mánason. Daríus Sigmundarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milio Ponte, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The NewSkill FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Elverk Vogum had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
