With a couple of smart ball manuevers Þorgarður Arnljótsson in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Modesto Mudarra saved Real Club Fuengirola from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Geir Mánason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Modesto Mudarra. Real Club Fuengirola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geir Mánason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 15th minute, Geir Mánason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Modesto Mudarra was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Modesto Mudarra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geir Mánason went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Geir Mánason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Mudarra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Elverk Vogum's Kristþór Viðarsson got a free kick in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Real Club Fuengirola's zone, Geir Mánason stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Mudarra came out of the goal and Geir Mánason tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Elverk Vogum getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Jósteinn Jakobsson hit a great ball. Modesto Mudarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Þorgarður Arnljótsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The supporters of Real Club Fuengirola booed when Elverk Vogum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jósteinn Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Þorgarður Arnljótsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Club Fuengirola's Modesto Mudarra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Þorgarður Arnljótsson in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Modesto Mudarra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bahiano Santalla got free with Daríus Sigmundarson in the 49th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Real Club Fuengirola players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elverk Vogum were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Guerrero was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Real Club Fuengirola's goal looked a bit too open when Geir Mánason came free, but Modesto Mudarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Real Club Fuengirola's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Þorgarður Arnljótsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Elverk Vogum's players had a chance to rest. After 56th play minutes Þorgarður Arnljótsson shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Modesto Mudarra and just under the crossbar into goal. After a rather tough play, Elverk Vogum's Gunnröður Aðalsteinsson got a free kick in the 64th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Elverk Vogum's Þorgarður Arnljótsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Modesto Mudarra. That made the score 1-5 after 68 minutes of play. In the 71st minute of the match, Jörvi Daðason tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Modesto Mudarra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Elverk Vogum's Þorgarður Arnljótsson in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Elverk Vogum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geir Mánason was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Evaristo Sánchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Real Club Fuengirola fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Elverk Vogum were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
