The audience thought a goal was coming when Khalefa Mandane got free with Daríus Sigmundarson in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rashed Al Mahmed hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Faleh Al Sohali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geir Mánason in the 12th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shaheen Kakoli during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Dardanel FC got a freekick which was hit by Shaheen Kakoli. Dardanel FC's Faleh Al Sohali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörvi Daðason in the 17th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dardanel FC's Maitham Al Hajraf got a free kick in the 19th minute. Rashed Al Mahmed kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Geir Mánason took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faleh Al Sohali. Faleh Al Sohali dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 26th minute Geir Mánason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faleh Al Sohali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faleh Al Sohali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Þorgarður Arnljótsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Faleh Al Sohali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Þorgarður Arnljótsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faleh Al Sohali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geir Mánason in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Jörvi Daðason cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Faleh Al Sohali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elverk Vogum were furious when Davíð Sölvason was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Elverk Vogum! When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Dardanel FC's Khalefa Mandane got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Daríus Sigmundarson. Daríus Sigmundarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sajid Al Shaikh, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Sajid Al Shaikh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Khalefa Mandane to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Maitham Ghadhanfer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dardanel FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elverk Vogum the free kick. In the 53rd match minute, Dardanel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maitham Ghadhanfer to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute Kristþór Viðarsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faleh Al Sohali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geir Mánason received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Faleh Al Sohali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Dardanel FC's Faleh Al Sohali got control of the ball when Jörvi Daðason tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Elverk Vogum's Geir Mánason nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Faleh Al Sohali made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Geir Mánason who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Faleh Al Sohali when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jörvi Daðason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faleh Al Sohali having to interfere. Geir Mánason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daríus Sigmundarson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sajid Al Shaikh, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Geir Mánason in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Faleh Al Sohali, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 92nd match minute, Dardanel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaheen Kakoli to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Þorgarður Arnljótsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dardanel FC's Faleh Al Sohali didn't even have to move. Daríus Sigmundarson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sajid Al Shaikh in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elverk Vogum had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
