Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horia Ionaș in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Milio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 6 minutes, Fermin Luken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the barcelono and the Steaua București players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7thth minute of the game Horia Ionaș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but barcelono's Jonas Milio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Horia Ionaș received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jonas Milio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Steaua București's Horia Ionaș got a free kick in the 11th minute. A collision led to barcelono getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Saturnino Bieito hit a great ball. If Horia Ionaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonas Milio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Ionaș in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Bieito got free with Manole Mocanu in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.
After having played for 54 minutes, Iosif Mitu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steaua București's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Mitu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Steaua București's Toader Ipătescu got a free kick in the 62nd minute. If Iosif Mitu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Steaua București's zone, Fermin Luken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manole Mocanu came out of the goal and Fermin Luken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iordache Arnăutu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Fermin Luken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The barcelono fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. When Iordache Arnăutu came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Steaua București fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iordache Arnăutu couldn't finish the play. Manole Mocanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Bieito in the 91st minute of the match. Iosif Mitu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Milio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Steaua București played a much better game than barcelono and deserved their victory. The barcelono players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
