Geir Mánason ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute, Gottskálk Þengilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29thth minute of the game Geir Mánason who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karamürsel JK's Kuzey Metin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kuzey Metin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geir Mánason in the 31st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Karamürsel JK's Daríus Sigmundarson threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Umut Şahin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Þorgarður Arnljótsson came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Elverk Vogum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Þorgarður Arnljótsson couldn't finish the play. Karamürsel JK's Kuzey Metin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Karamürsel JK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geir Mánason got free with Kuzey Metin in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Umut Şahin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Eren Tuğser fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Geir Mánason's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kuzey Metin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 87 played minutes Elverk Vogum got a freekick which was hit by Gunnröður Aðalsteinsson. Kristþór Viðarsson's late challenge caught a Karamürsel JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristþór Viðarsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Elverk Vogum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristþór Viðarsson to maneuver through the defense. Geir Mánason blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kuzey Metin having to make a save. Elverk Vogum's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
