To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Steaua București's goal looked a bit too open when Ariando Machado came free, but Manole Mocanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Canosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iosif Mitu went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ariando Machado was the one to do the kick off. When Tome Cainzos came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Rouhl FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tome Cainzos couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rouhl FK's Ariando Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manole Mocanu. That made the score 2-2 after 54 minutes of play. With his leg Manole Mocanu managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Rouhl FK's Ariando Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Steaua București's Manole Mocanu got control of the ball when Ariando Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodolfo Canosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Ionaș in the 72nd minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Steaua București got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Mitu. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Manole Mocanu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodolfo Canosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Ionaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Mitu in the 77th minute of play forced Rouhl FK's goalkeeper Rodolfo Canosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Rouhl FK defense, Horia Ionaș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Canosa. The Rouhl FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Canosa should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute, Zoel Hernandez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Manole Mocanu. The goal made the score 3-3. Steaua București's Manole Mocanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Steaua București from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Canosa came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua București's Iordache Arnăutu. But to his dismay, Iordache Arnăutu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. In the 95th minute, Iordache Arnăutu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Steaua București fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-3. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Steaua București had won after a very even match.
