After 32 played minutes Balcosna FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Montae. Anacleto Acuña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Ionaș, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Iosif Mitu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Acuña having to interfere. The supporters of Steaua București booed when Balcosna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Javiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steaua București's Manole Mocanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Steaua București from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Steaua București getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Iosif Mitu hit a great ball. If Iordache Arnăutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horia Ionaș might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anacleto Acuña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horia Ionaș ran back to his position shaking his head. Manole Mocanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Montae in the 78th minute of play. Manole Mocanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Javiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Horia Ionaș succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-6. 86 minutes into the game, Ionel Ielciu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steaua București's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balcosna FC the free kick. Ionel Ielciu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Manole Mocanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Argi went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Steaua București's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
