Tony Vandenberge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Fioravanti in the 15th minute of the match. Tony Vandenberge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerzy Tamulewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the game, Jaakkima Kinisjärvi threw the ball into play from the sideline. Kamionka Death SquaD's Bogumil Ankiewicz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 22 minutes into the match, Claudio Fioravanti notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of RWDM's Tony Vandenberge. Tony Vandenberge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. RWDM's Tony Vandenberge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Fioravanti in the 24th minute of play. In the 28thth minute of the game Claudio Fioravanti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RWDM's Tony Vandenberge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. RWDM's Ritchie Kerkhofs quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jerzy Tamulewicz, made in the 30th minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Claudio Fioravanti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vandenberge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Kamionka Death SquaD's Kasper Schmeichel got control of the ball when Robbin van Persie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kamionka Death SquaD's Kasper Schmeichel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Kamionka Death SquaD from getting a goal against them. But to his dismay, Jerzy Tamulewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Kamionka Death SquaD were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The RWDM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tony Vandenberge should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute Claudio Fioravanti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Vandenberge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Vandenberge made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Bierhoff got free with Tony Vandenberge in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Kamionka Death SquaD's Oliver Bierhoff fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Claudio Fioravanti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Sylvan Van der Willeghem came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the RWDM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylvan Van der Willeghem couldn't finish the play. The supporters of RWDM booed when Kamionka Death SquaD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Sibon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the game, Sylvan Van der Willeghem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RWDM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kamionka Death SquaD the free kick. Sylvan Van der Willeghem hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kamionka Death SquaD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
