Hugo Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remco Dekker in the 13th minute of the match. Ciro Lira made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Stefan Mathiassen sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Giles Winnepenninck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Moraes was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After some careless play in the FRANK defense, Remco Dekker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Moraes. The FRANK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Moraes should have stopped the shot. Patrick Senneville hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Decathlon Anderlecht's Ciro Lira got control of the ball when Roald Engebakken tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hugo Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Dekker in the 41st minute of play. If Remco Dekker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Ignado made a kick off. Steve Yzerman scored 3-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Lira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 55 minutes into the game, FRANK's Esteban Ignado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With a little luck, FRANK's Hugo Moraes got control of the ball when Gregoire Humblets tried to sneak it across the goal line. Remco Dekker might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hugo Moraes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an all-out effort, Decathlon Anderlecht's Hugo Moraes threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giles Winnepenninck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
