In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind AKS Kozienice's goalkeeper Szczepan Jazowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by AKS Kozienice's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mikolaj Budzynski was the one to do the kick off. The referee ignored KS LEW Chorzów's protests and gave Zachariasz Niedbalski a yellow card for diving instead.
