The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benet Amorebieta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damazy Kensicki having to make a save. In the 7th minute Benet Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Kensicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomasz Sobania sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Józef Wandzik made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Tomasz Sobania sent off a good shot on target. Tomasz Sobania who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Józef Wandzik when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Józef Wandzik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henk Cardinaal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damazy Kensicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benet Amorebieta in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Matteo Suloaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Kensicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benet Amorebieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damazy Kensicki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Dark Drinkers Sanok got a corner. Soczewki Gliwice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nando Campidelis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Thiago Rossi tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Damazy Kensicki. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 28th minute. Józef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Cardinaal in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Benet Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Kensicki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomasz Sobania blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Józef Wandzik having to make a save. 37 minutes into the match, Soczewki Gliwice's Tomasz Sobania sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Józef Wandzik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A throw-in in the 39th minute of the game was made by Kayhan Canfeda with Elmar Roorda as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Tomasz Sobania had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Dark Drinkers Sanok's Józef Wandzik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henk Cardinaal in the 61st minute of play. Soczewki Gliwice's Bogumil Babicki was substituted for Elmar Roorda. Soczewki Gliwice's Zdzislaw Witek was substituted for Thiago Rossi. 72 minutes into the game, Herman Källberg threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dark Drinkers Sanok's Vali Erbașu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Tomasz Sobania's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Józef Wandzik was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Dark Drinkers Sanok's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
