In the 21stth minute of the game Dagoberto Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C. Patagonia's Peter Schmeichel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peter Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Milko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Moraes in the 38th minute of the match. Igor Milko took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter Schmeichel. Peter Schmeichel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dariusz Wos got free with Valentin Bernal in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Dariusz Wos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Bernal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dariusz Wos to make the kick off. Valentin Bernal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute.
