Estevam Moroño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paradorn Todor came out and tried to block the shot, but Estevam Moroño slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 78th minute. Hilario Pesquera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Mendoza, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnoldo Guzman in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilario Pesquera saved Uruguay from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Estevam Moroño reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paradorn Todor. The goal made the score 0-5. After 92 minutes, João Mira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Salvador and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Mira kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Hilario Pesquera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Uruguay walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
