The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Ernani Velasco put in a rough tackle. 12 minutes into the game, one of Palestra do Interior:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave LOS TIBURONES a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victorio Sansone, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorio Sansone in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Rudy Umaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Evripidis Picoulas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Evripidis Picoulas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Rosado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vitório Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Rudy Umaña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Palestra do Interior fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Clemente Rosado was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Vitório Lago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vitório Lago really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Evripidis Picoulas in the 56th minute of play forced LOS TIBURONES's goalkeeper Clemente Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Lago. In the 60thth minute of the game Hipolito Txordon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Allan Varela came out of the goal and Hipolito Txordon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th minute, Vitório Lago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clemente Rosado was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Celsinho Vidal hit a great ball. Palestra do Interior's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
