In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's goalkeeper Angel Comizzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Ball in the 9th minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Matei Boldișor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Iosif Doicaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Comizzo was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti defense, Iosif Doicaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Comizzo. The Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Comizzo should have stopped the shot. Matei Boldișor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernie Ball in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Ernie Ball had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matei Boldișor. Rasnita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernie Ball was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Rasnita's Matei Boldișor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernie Ball in the 40th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Adrian Petre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rasnita and the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The throw-in from Laurențiu Brad in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Albano Faron. In the 47th minute, Ernie Ball ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matei Boldișor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernie Ball stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Batalionul U23 Dorobanti were awarded a corner. Renan Trancoso went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 58th minute Iosif Doicaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Comizzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosif Doicaru in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel Comizzo saved Batalionul U23 Dorobanti from getting behind. Diego Tristan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rasnita's Adrian Petre got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Adrian Petre off the ground. A collision led to Rasnita getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Adrian Petre hit a great ball. Ernie Ball sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti made a substitution. Altino Moutinho replaced Ezzo Doro. After some careless play in the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti defense, Iosif Doicaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Comizzo. Angel Comizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marius Pârcălab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's zone, Matei Dacian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Comizzo came out of the goal and Matei Dacian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Albano Faron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rasnita the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Faron to maneuver through the defense. When Adrian Isăilă fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's protests and gave Adrian Isăilă a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rasnita booed when Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Isăilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marius Pârcălab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Comizzo having to interfere. After 92 played minutes Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a freekick which was hit by Renan Trancoso. In the 94th match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavril Bobei to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Ernie Ball ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matei Boldișor was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5.
The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
