Pastor Ado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Hugo Orlando Gatti made a huge save. When Ervin Alla came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Consejo del Mate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ervin Alla couldn't finish the play. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Jerardo came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th match minute, Consejo del Mate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Lorenz to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidro Gines. Errecaborda AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With an all-out effort, Errecaborda AFC's Hugo Orlando Gatti threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Isidro Gines, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 45th minute Peyo Fonelleda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valko De Hond kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Errecaborda AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Consejo del Mate were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Fagildo Pamanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Jerardo in the 63rd minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Verdun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danilo Gomesano's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauro Rameriz went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 85 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Neron came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pastor Ado didn't get a good kick on the ball.
