The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Defensores del Ángel Gris was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Gijselinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uriel Chorche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Ado in the 18th minute of the match. Leo Unzaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edmond Verdun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Unzaga ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Alfonso Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uriel Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prospero Jerardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Alfonso Gilaberts short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Edmond Verdun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 28 minutes, Alfonso Gilabert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Defensores del Ángel Gris's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Gilabert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leopoldo Aimar hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. If Alfonso Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aírton Urbano made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Defensores del Ángel Gris's Leopoldo Aimar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Defensores del Ángel Gris booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Jerardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes, Defensores del Ángel Gris's Eleuterio Chabier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmond Verdun came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Defensores del Ángel Gris reached it. Bernard Ochabski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Gilabert in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmond Verdun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorino Sandalio in the 70th minute of play forced Defensores del Ángel Gris's goalkeeper Uriel Chorche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Aírton Urbano in the 72nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Defensores del Ángel Gris's Leopoldo Aimar. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Uriel Chorche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Sandalio in the 80th minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Pastor Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Rene Gerber was substituted for Serafim Catranides. Rene Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Errecaborda AFC's Rogelio Jakes was substituted for Aírton Urbano. Uriel Chorche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorino Sandalio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Errecaborda AFC's Isidro Gines ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Uriel Chorche. Uriel Chorche yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Uriel Chorche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Sandalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Defensores del Ángel Gris fans cheered their team off the field, for while Errecaborda AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
