The supporters of BOTAFOGO booed when SeleSantos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Törnqvist made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leif Törnqvist in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Breckenfeld prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th match minute, BOTAFOGO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Ramalho to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Leif Törnqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adalberto Breckenfeld. Leif Törnqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1.
