The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jago Štriker in the 31st minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jago Štriker was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Jago Štriker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gracie Barra's Ke Feng Zhen was substituted for Jago Štriker. Roland Danielsson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's Agnaldo Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Falcão Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 68 minutes in the game Roland Danielsson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Şamil Sağman. Fabinho dos Santos's late challenge caught a Gracie Barra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabinho dos Santos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Athletico Paulistano getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Fabinho dos Santos hit a great ball. When Ke Feng Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Gracie Barra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ke Feng Zhen couldn't finish the play. 84 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo de Senna came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acácio Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ke Feng Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo de Queirós in the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo de Queirós got free with Acácio Lara in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd minute, Gracie Barra's Ke Feng Zhen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Acácio Lara. Acácio Lara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 94 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ke Feng Zhen.
