After a rather tough play, Svennis Grabbar FF's Ulrik Qvarnström got a free kick in the 41st minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Horea Frumușanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Matthias Hedvall in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U Craiova's Udegbunam Ike. Manoel Furlans short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Nae Pavel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 54 minutes into the match, U Craiova's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Falk came free, but Nae Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manoel Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nae Pavel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Udegbunam Ike kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Narcis Silişteanu hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Robin Nyström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Călin Pamfil in the 78th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Horea Frumușanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robin Nyström was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Nae Pavel made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Manoel Furlan sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd match minute, U Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Călin Pamfil to maneuver through the defense. Svennis Grabbar FF made a substitution. Osvald Åström replaced Rune Falk. The supporters of Svennis Grabbar FF booed when U Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Călin Pamfil didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Horea Frumușanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Svensson's late challenge caught a U Craiova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Svensson helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U Craiova had played much better football throughout.
